Dr. Venkateswara Rao Katta is a General and Laparoscopic Surgeon working in Archana Hospitals,Hyderabad Enthusiastic and energetic Dr Venkateswara Rao Katta, has a distinguished career in Surgery. With training in UK for 3 years working with Royal College of Surgeons, he has done basic surgical training with rotations in General Surgery and Orthopaedics. For advanced surgical training, Dr Venkat has moved to New Zealand and has gained vast experience in General and Laparoscopic Surgeries.He is a laser proctology specialist. He has done rotations in Upper GI Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, where he has trained under eminent professors with Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He has extensive training in New Zealand for 7 years. Part of his advanced surgical training has also been in Critical care and has been trained in attending to acute surgical emergencies and critical care for surgically ill patients. Successfully completed Master of Surgery MS with state first rank still has been a feather in his elaborate career spanning over 17 years.
During his training in UK and New Zealand, Dr Venkat has worked towards research and has so far has more than 20 national and international publications to his name. He has done multiple presentations on his research work while working abroad. He continues to actively participate in academic activities at state and national level since his return to India. Teaching has always been his passion and he has been an Honorary lecturer at Otago School of Medicine, Dunedin, NZ in General Surgery for 5 years where he has done lecture classes for final year medical students in theory and clinical rotations.
Since returning to India Dr Venkat has pursued his passion for studies and has since attained fellowships at reputed national surgical societies like ASI, IAGES, AMASI, ISCP.
With such a vibrant and distinguished career, Dr Venkat has always been passionate about his work and has been treating patients with empathy.
