Dr. Avinash Dal has 25 years’ experience in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery. He has extensive experience in off-pump coronary artery bypass (beating heart technique), minimal access cardiac surgery, VATS (video-assisted thoracic surgery) and surgical and interventional management of aneurysms of the great vessels.

- Some important landmarks in his career include: Autotransplantation of heart (bench cardiac surgery) 1997, Batista operation (reduction cardiomyoplasty), CONCAB (conscious CABG IN awake patient), Robotic cardiac surgery (valve replacement and closure of birth defects), EVAR (endovascular Aneurysm repair) for aortic aneurysms and TAVR (Trans aortic valve replacement), Performed more than 9500 cardiac, thoracic and Vascular surgical procedures . Dr Avinash has established the VATS program in 2000. He is adept of VATS(Thoracoscopy), Minimal access Cardiac Surgery. The introduction of minimal access surgery gives faster recovery, less bleeding and less pain and a very small incision. This helps in improving the patients return back to normal life.
